The one-paragraph answer
If you need an applicant-tracking system with multi-user collaboration, agency portal, and a hiring pipeline across many roles, use Zoho Recruit. Their free tier is generous, the paid tier (~₹1,800/user/month) is reasonable, and the Zoho One bundle is unbeatable if you're already in their ecosystem.
If you need AI-rubric scoring with cited evidence — not just keyword matching — use Lucida. Zoho Recruit's "Zia" AI is pattern-matching layered on top of a database. Lucida is built around the scoring model, not bolted on.

Where Zoho Recruit wins (we'll say it plainly)
- Job-board syndication. Zoho Recruit posts to 75+ boards with one click. We have a LinkedIn-share helper.
- Pipeline + stages. If you're moving candidates through 6+ stages with named owners on each, that's their product, not ours.
- Free tier. Zoho's free plan is real. Lucida's free trial is 10 candidates; after that, paid.
- Zoho One bundle. If you're already using Zoho CRM, Books, Mail — Recruit is incremental cost ₹0. Hard to beat.
Where Lucida wins
- The AI is the product, not a feature. Lucida's scoring is built on a per-job-generated 5-dimension rubric, with every score citing direct quotes. Zia ranks candidates by keyword overlap and assessment scores — useful, but not the same thing.
- JD clarification. Lucida reads the JD and asks you the 3 questions a senior recruiter would ask the hiring manager — before drafting anything. Zoho's flow starts at "post the job."
- Candidate feedback. Every applicant gets a feedback report URL automatically. Zoho's email templates require you to write the feedback yourself.
- One workflow, one bill. Lucida is the only tool you need for screening + scoring + shortlist. No add-ons, no Zoho Assist for the assessment.
The right move
Many of our customers use both: Zoho Recruit for pipeline tracking + job-board distribution, Lucida for the scoring + feedback layer. The bulk-paste import means you can run scoring in Lucida and keep the ATS as Zoho. The two products don't actually fight.
If you're just starting out and don't have either, we'd suggest Lucida first — score 10 candidates, see whether the rubric quality and the candidate feedback reports move the needle for you, then bolt Zoho on if you actually need pipeline depth. Most 5-30 person teams never get there.
